    Meet Our Team!

    Hello! My name is Shada Powell, and I’m the Owner and Director of Home Away From Home Preschool. I have 13 years in childcare experience. I hold an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education (Pursuing Bachelors), a Child Development Associate (CDA) in Preschool, and a Director’s Certificate.

    Our amazing team of Lead Teachers are just as passionate and qualified!

    Infant Teacher: Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education

    Ones Teacher: Diploma in Early Childhood Education

    Twos Teacher: CDA in Toddlers

    Threes & Fours Teachers: Associate’s and Bachelor’s Degrees in Early Childhood Education

    All of our staff maintain up-to-date CPR and First Aid certifications and complete annual professional training to ensure we’re always providing the best care and education for your little ones!
